DevelopME Youth is dedicated to nurturing and supporting our youth and black communities. Our programs are designed with their best interests in mind so that they can develop the skills they need to thrive in society. From our Fundraising Opportunities to our Volunteering Initiatives, we have a variety of programs that are available to all.

Our Services

Young Black & Resilient (YBR)

The YBR program aims to address mental health and gun violence-related issues of young women and mothers. This 12-week training program addresses the grieving and community concerns that women encounter. We develop early intervention and preventative strategies by offering mental health expertise and gathering data and community information.

Becoming HIM

The Becoming HIM workshop aims to foster a safe space for males to be empowered by their vulnerability, and to encourage them to be comfortable in their own skin.

Dear Future ME

This program is designed to empower youth to become active agents in their futures. Through self-reflection and skill-building activities, participants will develop the confidence to make an impact in their community.

Impower HER

The Impower HER workshop promotes female empowerment, self-esteem, and confidence. The workshop aims to establish a safe environment in which girls can discover who they are and what they aspire to be.

Future Direction: Police and Community Working Together

This training session will run throughout the year, giving the community and the police a chance to meet face-to-face and find a solution to the problems that keep coming up in the community.

United Together

United Together aims to open a judgement-free dialogue between parents and children to foster positive development and promote unity.

Saving Lives

This service gives training and mentoring to youth in vulnerable communities through emergency preparedness and first aid. This is important because it helps people learn about the physical, mental, and emotional risks they may face and gives them the skills they need to protect themselves or use their skills in case of an emergency in their environment.

Uniquely US

Uniquely US is a grass-roots program that gives inner-city teens and young adults who are interested in business, trade skills, development, and financial investments the chance to try out different career paths. The goal of the program is to give young people a safe place to learn, grow, and develop their creative skills.

Events

DevelopME Youth commitment is to serve underprivileged communities by providing resources that help to uplift and motivate change within society through hands-on initiatives such as givebacks, utilizing social media platforms as the voice of the youth and other common goal-oriented programs and organizations.
